Dear Students, Faculty, Staff, Alumni, and Benefactors,
Today we took our first steps onto the TMP campus for yet another extraordinary year. No matter what each of you may say, we know you’re excited to see how this upcoming year will turn out. A few minor changes to the faculty, staff, and the building itself bring many new possibilities of how each day will turn out. Therefore, welcome to the 2010-2011 school year and get ready for a year that’s never been seen before!
To make this school year stand out from the all the rest, we want to involve every member of our family here at Thomas More Prep-Marian. We want everyone to be the individual who you were meant to be. “Dance like no one is watching, sing like no one is listening, and live your life as if heaven is on earth.” The Student Council officers have chosen the perfect theme for this year; Dance to Your Own Tune.
To ensure that everyone makes the best memories this next school year, being “you” plays a big part. We want everyone to step out of their boundaries and truthfully show their true colors. Being you is not the easiest or the most popular thing to do. It can also be nerve-wrecking and scary, but we believe everyone can do it. Try out new clubs, sports, classes or a different service act that has always interested you. Break free from your shell and simply meet a new friend. So just do it, dance to YOUR own tune!
To make the best of every situation, you only have to be yourself and not only that, but be the best individual you can live. “Be yourself, everyone else is taken.”
