Our Campus Minister
My name is Cheryl Glassman. I am Campus Minister and Director of Special Projects at TMP-Marian. I have been a part of the TMP-Marian family since 1998.
As Campus Minister, I work to provide the students, faculty, staff, and supporters of our school an opportunity to share and grow in faith. Our school day begins and ends with campus-wide prayer. Each class period begins with prayer.
I am proud to sponsor our TMP-Marian Liturgy Council (LITCO). This 45 member volunteer group meets once a week to coordinate ministries for our all-school Mass every Wednesday, as well as ministers for our mass Monday afternoon and Friday morning. I work with LITCO on special events or prayer services, such as the Living Nativity and Passion Play.
LITCO also provides service to the community. The group sponsors monetary collections or donations of needed supplies for agencies such as First Call For Help, St. Joseph Food Pantry, Developmental Services of Northwest Kansas, and the Denver Samaritan Shelter for the homeless. By sponsoring these and other events, the student body is given many opportunities to participate in social justice work.
I oversee and monitor the service hours of every student in conjunction with the religious studies teachers and give them many opportunities to fulfill the school service requirement.
As Campus Minister I also sponsor and direct the volunteer Chapel Choir and the cantors. The Chapel Choir meets once a week for rehearsal. This group leads the singing at our Wednesday liturgies. Various members of the 55 member group sing at local churches and volunteer to sing at nursing homes and other agencies. The Chapel Choir also takes a mission trip to Denver and sings at various churches in the Denver area, as well as a visit to the Samaritan Shelter. It is an inspiration to work with these vibrant young people and see their willingness to share their faith!
TMP-Marian is a wonderful place to share and learn about God and the many gifts He willingly gives to each of us! Thank you for visiting our website!
