Thomas More Prep-Marian High School is located in the city of Hays in western Kansas.
Thomas More Prep-Marian dates back to 1908 and has been a co-educational high school since 1981. The school provides a traditionally strong Catholic education to day, resident, and international students and has a reputation for high standards in and out of the classroom.
School enrollment for the 2008-2009 academic year is 235 students. This includes 40 male students in the Nation's Hall residential program and 20 female students living in the school's Marian Hall. Students in the resident halls represent South Korea, Mexico, Taiwan, China, and Nepal. Most of the students (175) are day students who live in Hays or the surrounding area.
The average classroom group is 15 students. The faculty includes 31 teachers, over 60% with master's degrees. The school has been continuously accreditated since 1937 by the North Central Association of Schools and Colleges.

Varsity sports are available for both genders in every competition season. Included are football, cross-country, volleyball, golf, soccer, basketball, wrestling, track, baseball, softball, and swimming.

In addition a variety of non-athletic activities provide opportunities for personal growth and leadership. They include student council, debate and forensics, band, liturgy committee, chapel choir, science club, Future Business Leaders of America, chess team, multicultural club, and Key Club.

The school as a whole maintains a variety of professional memberships including the National Catholic Education Association, the Association of Boarding Schools, the North Central Association of Schools and Colleges, the Catholic Boarding School Association, and the Kansas Association of Independent and Religious Schools. The school is administered by a local board and is part of the Catholic Diocese of Salina in Kansas.

- 6:55am: Early morning study hall (as assigned)
- 7:55am until 3:16pm: Regular classes. (Seven class periods and lunch)
- 3:30-6:00pm: Sports and Activities
- 5:30pm and 6:00pm: Dinner for Resident Students
- 8:30pm-9:00pm: Mandatory Study Hall for Resident Students

- Education at TMP-Marian includes daily religion classes, a weekly Mass requirement, a service program, curriculum options, quality college prep and business and technical school prep programs, special education programs, and progams for English language learners.

- The class of 2008 had 62 graduates. Almost all (92%) were offered scholarships. Of the 62 graduates, 84% took the ACT and earned an average composite score of 23.38. The 19% of the class who took the SAT earned averages of 445 on the verbal section and 663 on the numerical part.

- A great majority (91%) of the graduates planned to enroll in four year colleges or universities. Out of state university destinations included LaRoche College, Marquette University, Pennsylvania State University, Ohio State University, University of Washington, University of Indianapolis, and Purdue University. The most popular in-state choices were Fort Hays State University, the University of Kansas, and Kansas University.
