Julius Caesar
Students have just finished reading William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar in class. Recitation of Mark Antony's speech to the citizens is due no later than April 29th.
Extra Credit
Students may earn up to 100 points of extra credit by reading one of Rick Riordan's books from the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series or the Heroes of Olympus series and then completing a book report explaining the allusions to Greek/Roman mythology. The due date for all extra credit is May 10th.
Upcoming Units
The final vocabulary unit (Vocab 6) will be distributed April 26th. The oral vocab quiz will be May 5th and the written quiz will be May 6th.
Students will be working with our student teacher Ms. Saffer on nonfiction text following the conclusion of the Julius Caesar unit. Ms. Saffer's last day with us will be May 6th. Thank you, Ms. Saffer, for doing such a great job this semester!
To wrap up the year, we will be reviewing literary elements through the examination of short stories and visual media. This unit will help review and prepare students for the final exam.
