Today's annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Races for our 4th graders have been moved inside to the school gym upstairs due to the weather! Races will still begin at 2:30 p.m. Thank you!
Join us tomorrow for our annual Shrove Tuesday Pancake Races! All students may wear an apron to school tomorrow, and our 4th graders will be racing at 2:30 p.m. on our playground blacktop! Who will win the highly prized engraved spatula this year?
We're in need of SEVERAL egg cartons!! If you have any 12-count egg cartons (plastic or cardboard) that we can take off your hands, please bring them by the school office over the next week!! They'll be used for a special Lenten project created by our Dominic Savio Club for the little ones in our building! Thank you for your help!!
Holy Family will have a delayed start tomorrow, Thurs 2/20 due to the frigid wind chills. School will start at 10:00 a.m. and there will be no morning half-day preschool classes. Dismissal will operate as usual. Thank you and stay warm!

This Wednesday is our HFE Freddy's Fundraising Day! Stop by the Hays Freddy's between 4-8pm, and you must mention Holy Family in order for us to receive the kickback! We'll receive 15% of all sales during this time frame. Thank you for your support in these extra ways!!
Yesterday, we invited our local Hays first responders to join us for lunch, and what a wonderful turnout we had! 13 first responders (EMS, firefighters, police officers, highway patrol, and even detectives!) joined our students, and they had such a great time visiting and learning more about what they do at their jobs! Many of the students even got to explore the ambulance after lunch! Thank you for joining us and making our lunch period so fun yesterday!
Yesterday was Kansas Day, and we celebrated by wearing our favorite Kansas shirts or Kansas team shirts! Students got into their prayer circle groups and rotated between stations. They got to make a Kansas Day craft, delicious dirt cups, play bingo, and learn Kansas trivia! The 5th graders helped lead the activities with the help of our teachers!
We are having a wonderful time celebrating Catholic Schools Week this week at Holy Family! On Monday, the students got to wear pajamas! The classes mixed up and older students read to younger students! What better way to kick off a busy week than with pajamas & books?
Extra extra! Delicious homemade chili and cinnamon rolls leftover for sale now in the HFE cafeteria! Cinnamon rolls are 4 for $10, chili is $5 for 32oz, $10 for 64oz. Perfect for your game day dinner! Thank you to all who came out and supported our chili feed fundraiser & bazaar today!!
Today is the day!! Our Chili Feed & Bazaar will run from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. We hope you'll stop by and join us for a delicious chili lunch! Swing by with your family after mass, bring the kids by the Activity Center to play games and win great prizes! Stop by the Preschool classrooms to play Bingo or snag some homemade desserts at the Cake Walk! Shop for your favorite young readers in the school library at the Book Fair and help us earn new books for school! Bid on some wonderful silent auction items, and bring your raffle tickets by for a chance to be a big winner! All of your contributions and participation of this special fundraiser go straight into our school's operating budget! The food lines, auction and raffle will cut off at 1:30 PM so that winners have a chance to be contacted before the conclusion of the chili feed at 2:00! Anyone is welcome to attend our bazaar and have a great meal! We'll see you there!
The Silent Auction Link is officially ready! You can now begin previewing all of the wonderful auction items, classroom gift baskets, and feed the pigs! The site is set up, but bidding will officially open tomorrow at 9:00 A.M. There is no physical preview prior to the Chili Feed on Sunday. All bidders need to register first if you haven't before, which takes seconds! The Silent Auction and classroom pigs will close up at 1:30 PM on Sunday!
