Updated Covid Precautions Take Effect Sep. 7
In conjunction with all Ellis County Schools and the Ellis County Health Department, TMP-M will follow these quarantine protocols:
-If your child is sick, do not send them to school.
-If someone in the household is awaiting test results for COVID-19, do not send any of your children to school while you wait for the results.
-If your child is asymptomatic but you plan to have them tested for COVID-19 in the next two days, do not send them to school. Keeping them home from school prior to testing will remove subsequent quarantine from a positive test.
-If you are notified that your child is a close contact with a positive case, they will be required to quarantine for ten days from the date of contact.
-Individuals will not be allowed to test out of quarantine.
-If both parties are wearing a mask for the duration of contact and social distancing of at least 3 ft is maintained, quarantine may not be enforced.
-If your child is vaccinated and remains asymptomatic, they may stay in school and activities.
-Face masks will remain optional.

These girls are ready to cheer their first game of the season! Go Monarchs!!!

Friday (tomorrow) is school picture day. HS is in winter formal and JH is in regular uniform.
If you didn't get a picture packet handed out at enrollment, there are extras in the office.

Fr. Andy Hammeke and Fr. Elias Chinzarra surprised the students yesterday when they showed up in the dining hall. What a great way to start building relationships and getting to know the students. TMP-Marian is blessed to have both of them on our team this year.

TMP-Marian high school students separated into boy and girl groups on Wednesday to hear from Jana's Campaign speakers on authentic manhood and womanhood. The boys learned about statistics on men's roles in abuse, abuse prevention, and how to better love and protect both the women they love and the women they don't know. The girls learned about respectful relationships and the pressures that can lead to unhealthy relationships. We look to the patron saints St. Joseph and St. Mary, and ask for their prayers to become better men, women, husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, and siblings.

The juniors are studying Luke Chapter 1 today in class. We are talking about how Mary gives us two great examples in chapter 1 that we should follow. The Annunciation-Saying Thy Will Be Done when God asks us to do something and The Visitation-Bringing Christ to others by serving them.

The TMP-M High School Monarchs of the Month as voted on by faculty, staff, & students are as follows:
Faculty-Mr. Befort
Staff-Kim Stoecklein
Student-Rebekah Schroeder.
These individuals demonstrated outstanding leadership throughout the month of August and were noticed by many. Congratulations!!!

Thank you to KISS 104.7 and G Herdt's Donut for the delicious donuts this morning.

We were blessed to have Colleen Augustine, Matea Gregg, and Geoff Andrews from the Salina Diocese out this morning talking to our students about the positives and negatives of social media. They gave our students some great tips and information on how to use social media positively and healthily while protecting themselves from the negative side of social media.

The Junior High commons area (Monarch Cove) got a refresh over the summer. Bright paint, fun decorations, and comfy flexible seating purchased with grant money make for a great place to socialize and study!

Thanks to the wonderful people at J Corp and John's fencing services, concrete is ready to be poured for the grotto beautification project.

The TMP-Marian Football Jamboree to be held at Russell on Friday, August 27th has been moved to 7:00 pm instead of 6:00 pm.
Mr. Dennis' class is getting right to work. Today in chemistry the students did the first lab project. Based on the looks on their faces I think the students enjoyed the lab.

We had our 1st Rosary Club Rosary this morning in the Marian Chapel. If you have any intentions that you wanted to add to our intentions, please feel free to comment below or contact Bill Meagher at meagherb@tmpmarian.org. We would love to add your intention to our prayers.

Four projects started this morning: the Arc Park Project, Monarch Music, St. Joseph Food Pantry, and Community Engagement through social media. Would you please keep these students in your prayers

Parents please join us Thursday, Aug. 26, 2021 from 6:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. for the Parent Open House. This is a great time for parents to meet your child's teachers, walk through their schedule and ask any questions you might have regarding your child's education. We look forward to seeing you on Thursday!

Thank you Fr. Elias for helping us start the week off right! Special thanks to all the students, faculty and staff who attended this morning. We love starting the week off with you in Mass! Have a great week everyone!

Great way to start the school year! We had Adoration all day during our religion classes with confessions available. Special thanks to Fr. Damian, Fr. Elias, and Fr. Andy for being with us today and being available for our students to be able to go to confession!
