The Argentinian Invasion Has Begun! Thomas More Prep-Marian is beyond excited to welcome the 10 students and one adult chaperone from Buenos Aires to Hays, America! They arrived today on a bus from Eisenhower National Airport in Wichita. They will begin school on Monday, meeting our amazing students, teachers, and families. We're looking forward to finding God in the friendships and relationships with each other. May Christ be present in our interactions and activities together!

Monarchs, We Need You! We need 3 more families to open up their hearts and homes to male students from Argentina. Okay, it's not as dire as those cartoons, but Kansas is too cold to camp outside during January. If you can accommodate on more person for just the month, we'd be so grateful. Here are some benefits for your own children when you host: 1) Increased social confidence by having a near-peer who is somewhat reliant on the host sibling to navigate the new family, school, and culture. 2) Exposure to the wider world and, in this case, Argentina. This builds a global confidence in the kids that helps them see the world of opportunities outside their experiences. 3) Many host brothers and sisters report feeling more confident about taking healthy risks, like speaking in a group, traveling, or trying something new. To inquire further, please contact Michele Springer at mspringer@team.nacelopendoor.org or Chad Meitner at 785-639-4671. To start the application process please click here. Your application will be expedited!

Mrs. Nancy Flax's ceramics student, Karli Komarek recently created horse hair pottery. Karli designed her pottery and then applied horsehair to the heated pottery when removed from the kiln. The burning hair creates smoke patterns and carbon trails on the surface of the heated pottery that remain as decoration after it cools.
